Wearing IVY PARK x ADIDAS
Nope, I did not get my very own orange box but, listen we never know what the future holds! However, I was able to have the first pick at the Adidas store on the release day! It was quite exciting! Let’s get into one of my favorite pieces, this IVY PARK jumpsuit (in merlot), paired with the IVY PARK Sleek Super 72. The jumpsuit is unisex and takes a little finessing for someone my height and frame. The leg is a classic straight leg and much wider than I would prefer, so rolling and creating a little tension at the bottom was a necessity for me. Obviously it is not summertime right now so bare legs aren’t ideal, to add to the ruggedness of the look, I layered with a sheer ankle tight and neon orange sock to play off of the classic Adidas stripe. I love a garment that allows for versatility, the snap front detail on the jumpsuit allows you to play with your neckline giving you options and range on how much you want to show and or tell! I decided to go for a monochromatic feel, pairing it with a turtleneck that complemented the colorway.
A sneaker that gives you a height advantage, sounds like magic to me! Creeper sneakers like the Sleek Super 72 allows you to have comfort and elongate at the same damn time and with those attributes, it was a no brainer for me! The sneaker design pulls from the Adidas Samba classic, which has always been a favorite of mine. I decided to wear this sneaker with the jumpsuit, mainly to brighten up the look and draw the eye away from the boxy silhouette ( I also took advantage of the drawstrings at the waistline for the same reason).
There was one other piece from the line that I wish I could get my hands on, the orange chiffon dress (which I’ve learned was not made for production) is beautiful!!! Many of the other pieces had Ivy Park stitched all over which removed an element of desire. Overall, the line for sure has its second wind with the Adidas be its side and I look forward to more releases in the future.
